Revenue Service Coordination Council

By order #9887 of the Head of the Revenue Service, Lasha Khutsishvili, a Coordination Council has been established within the Revenue Service, which includes Mikheil Chelidze, Chairman of the Tax Committee of the Georgian Small and Medium Enterprises Association and Auditor of the Financial Office. The Council was created to establish a unified approach to interpreting certain norms of Georgian tax legislation.

As you are aware, the Revenue Service operates with situational guidelines (so-called manuals). The main purpose of the Coordination Council’s working meetings will be to develop/revise these guidelines and implement them in Georgian tax legislation.

The Council’s work involves employees from both the Revenue Service and the Ministry of Finance, as well as representatives from the private sector (tax experts).
