A Tax Committee has been established at the Georgian Small and Medium Enterprises Association, which will be headed by Mikheil Chelidze, an auditor representing the Financial Office audit company and a member of the Association’s Supervisory Board. The Tax Committee presentation was held at the Radisson Hotel, attended by Revenue Service Chief Lasha Khutsishvili, Chairman of the Small and Medium Enterprises Association Kakha Kokhreidze, among other guests.
The presentation introduced the Tax Committee’s main objectives to the business community, which include studying gaps and inaccuracies in tax legislation and preparing recommendations for refining and adapting tax legislation.
The Tax Committee’s work will involve private sector tax specialists, whose comments and initiatives will be regularly reviewed with the relevant structural units of the Ministry of Finance for subsequent legislative initiation.
